Back in February 2016 I headed off to photograph perhaps my most awesome intimate wedding of the year, Mike & Poppy and their beach wedding.
When Poppy approached me about this opportunity several months back, I was immediately excited about the idea of flying back to beautiful Gili Lankanfushi in the Maldives to photograph their special day.
Shooting an elopement was something I’d never done before and this concept meant that I would get a whole day with them to just tour around the Island and take photos wherever we wanted, basically an excuse to take amazing bridal portraits for a few hours straight. How great is that!?
The entire day was filled with fun, special moments and everything you could dream of as a wedding photographer. It was easily one of my top weddings ever and I still feel incredibly thankful that Poppy and Mike invited me along to be part of their wedding day! From Poppy’s dress to Mike’s suit, to the flowers, candles and all of the little details it was just perfect!
